Preschool

The three-year-old classrooms at The Teaching Tree are designed to help children build the social, emotional, and academic foundations they need as they take the next step in their early education.

Our Preschool program combines a highly rated, Head Start–certified curriculum with engaging, age-appropriate activities and a positive learning environment where children are encouraged to explore, create, play, and learn. Through a combination of purposeful play and teacher-guided instruction, children begin developing important early skills in literacy, language and communication, mathematics, science, fine and gross motor development, and creative expression.

At this age, we place a strong emphasis on independence, confidence, social skills, and classroom routines. Children learn to make choices, follow directions, communicate their needs, cooperate with their classmates, and become increasingly responsible for themselves and their belongings.

Our teachers recognize that three-year-olds learn best through active participation and hands-on experiences. Classrooms are designed to encourage curiosity and give children opportunities to discover new interests while developing a genuine excitement for learning.

Our goal is to provide a fun, nurturing, and engaging preschool experience that helps every child grow at their own pace while building the skills and confidence needed to successfully transition into our Pre-Kindergarten program and continue their educational journey.
