School Age

At The Teaching Tree, school-age care is about much more than simply providing a place for children to spend time before and after school. Our program is designed to give children a safe, engaging environment where they can build friendships, explore new interests, develop life skills, and—most importantly—have fun!
During the School Year
When school is in session, The Teaching Tree provides after-school care with transportation provided from participating local schools to our center. Once they arrive, children have an opportunity to unwind from the school day while participating in age-appropriate activities, spending time with friends, completing homework, and enjoying recreational and enrichment opportunities.
On no-school days and school breaks, children can spend the day with us enjoying a variety of activities designed to keep them active, engaged, and learning outside of the traditional classroom.
Summer at The Teaching Tree
When school is out, the adventure really begins! Our school-age program transitions into full-time summer care featuring engaging weekly themes, hands-on activities, games, projects, and experiences that give children something new to discover throughout the summer.
Whether it's an afternoon after school, a full day during a school break, or an entire summer with us, our goal is to create an environment where school-age children look forward to coming to The Teaching Tree. Through a balance of fun, friendship, exploration, physical activity, and learning, children can continue growing and discovering new interests all year long.
