Infants

At The Teaching Tree, we understand that choosing care for your baby is one of the most important decisions a family can make. Our Infant Program, serving children from 6 weeks through 18 months, provides a safe, nurturing, and responsive environment where each child is cared for as an individual while beginning to explore and discover the world around them.
 

Our experienced teachers focus on building strong, trusting relationships with every infant in their care. We work closely with families to understand each child's individual needs, routines, feeding schedules, sleep patterns, and developmental milestones, helping provide consistency between home and The Teaching Tree.
 

Even our youngest children are constantly learning. Our Infant Program incorporates developmentally appropriate experiences from our highly rated, Head Start–certified curriculum, with activities specifically designed to support infant development. Through tummy time, sensory exploration, music, stories, movement, interactive play, and one-on-one engagement with teachers, infants are given daily opportunities to learn and grow.
 

Our teachers intentionally support important areas of early development, including language and communication, social-emotional development, fine and gross motor skills, sensory development, and early cognitive skills. As infants grow, activities and classroom experiences evolve with them—encouraging reaching, grasping, rolling, crawling, standing, walking, communicating, and exploring at their own individual pace.
 

We also recognize that an infant's daily routine is an important part of their development. Feeding, diapering, soothing, and rest are not simply caregiving tasks—they are opportunities for meaningful one-on-one interaction, communication, comfort, and connection between each child and their teacher.
 

Above all, our goal is to create a warm and loving environment where every baby feels safe, secure, valued, and cared for. Through responsive caregiving, purposeful developmental experiences, and strong partnerships with families, The Teaching Tree provides infants with a positive foundation for their earliest years of learning and development.
